To Mrs. James Allen (Poem)

Sept. 1st, 1918.

Soul strings eternally vibrate
The glory of the truly great,
And here in Heav’n just everything
Around me seems to sing and sing
Your innovation welcoming!

I think the tired City knew,
Awaiting, that it wanted you,
And I no longer feel surprise,
To have desire materialize,
I know your dream is coming true!
