To my Beloved (Poem)

Lay low thy head, Beloved, on my breast,
To hear the beat of love gives joy to me,
We need no speech, our thoughts wing words.
We know, and understand, and see.

Visions beyond the range of mortal eye
The inner sight beholds, and wonders and adores!
The heavens are opened, and our hearts rejoice
That Love continues evermore.

Through all the Ages yet to be,
God bless thee, my Beloved.
Bless with His love and joy complete.
Some day beyond this vale we’ll meet,
And all His purposes shall see.
