Yearning (Poem)

My life—a flame of Love Divine,
Quenchless upon an altar throne,
Which is this weary heart of mine,
Where burns this fire of Love alone.
My body—a fair temple shrine
Where vice and hatred are unknown
My mind—a priest with purpose fine.
My thoughts—the glory of a crown.
My Being all—a palace fair
Where reigns the everlasting King
Whose radiant grace I daily share
Thro’ service which I gladly bring.

Oh God! grant me this life to live,
Whilst here in earthly body pent,
That I to all may blessing give,
Thro’ time in loving service spent.
