All In All (Poem)

O Love my King! O Power Divine!
Teach me to give, nor count it mine
That which I give, for all is Thine,
Who reign supreme.

O Love my King! to Thy broad creed
I mould my life, and feel the need
Of Thee, in heart and word and deed,
Who reign supreme.

O Love my King! my Joy, my Day!
Not mine the will, not mine the way,
Be thou my strength, be thou my stay,
Who reign supreme.

O Love my King! though less and less
My faint hope grows, to Thee I press,
Crowned king of all my lowliness,
Who reign supreme.

The gem cannot be polished without friction, nor man perfected without trials.
