Fruitless Endeavor

Do not relax one effort. If it fail
Today, perchance tomorrow 'twill succeed,
God doth not count attempt of no avail,
He will accept it and the motive read.

Whilst men may measure in results thy task,
God sees the other side and only knows—
Then work thou on, no questions stay to ask,
Content to feel He will of all dispose.
