To Our Readers & Friends

We shall be pleased to receive any of our Readers at Bryngoleu as paying guests. You could not choose a more beautiful place in which to spend a holiday than Ilfracombe. For the sea lover, its rugged and sublime coast line, its magnificent rocks and towering cliffs, its far-extending views, together with its splendid bathing accommodation, will prove great attractions. And those who love the country, the quiet strength of the "everlasting hills," the deep picturesque valleys and beautiful streams, will find endless haunts of great beauty and sublime grandeur.

We would draw the attention of those living in the North or Midlands to the splendid service of boats, running daily between Bristol and Ilfracombe, as a means of pleasantly breaking their journey.
The profits derived from this part of our work are devoted to the furtherance of the work of the "Light of Reason."

James Allen

James Allen was a little-known philosophical writer and poet. He is best recognized for his book, As a Man Thinketh. Allen wrote about complex subjects such as faith, destiny, love, patience, and religion but had the unique ability of explaining these subjects clearly and in a way that is easy to understand. He often wrote about cause and effect, sowing and reaping, as well as overcoming sadness, sorrow, and grief. For more information on the life of James Allen, click here.
