The Still, Small Voice (Poem)

Trust not in books, nor in the word
That others speak—
Do but thou seek
The Voice that in the silence may be heard.

Hither and thither do not go
Of Truth in quest.
Put to the test
Thy soul's monitions, they for thee shall be the best.
