The Only Way (Poem)

Believe not that without thee lies salvation;
It is within thee every good abides,
And 'tis within thee also there resides
The tendency to fall—we term temptation.

If thou art human, yet thou art divine:
Though time and space may limit brain and limb—
Still dost thou live and move alone in Him—
And if so be, thyself to Him resign.
